For our donors who require a tax receipt, please note: Amigas In Action is a Colorado nonprofit corporation, incorporated on June 18, 2019. Amigas In Action has filed a Form 1023 with the Internal Revenue Service (“IRS”) for recognition of tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code but Amigas In Action has not yet received a determination letter from the IRS recognizing this status. Based on Amigas In Action’s charitable activities and community mission, Amigas In Action expects that the IRS will recognize Amigas In Action’s status as a Section 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization retroactively to June 18, 2019, the date of Amigas In Action’s creation.
When this occurs, a charitable contribution deduction will be available to you for your donation. To the extent allowed by the tax laws, you may be able to claim a charitable contribution deduction on your income tax return for the year of your donation, even if Amigas In Action has not yet received its determination letter from the IRS on the date you file this return. Please let us know if you have any questions!
